This Is Aamir Khan's Take on SRK-Salman's Iconic End-Credit Scene in Pathaan
November 12, 2024: Bollywood fans were thrilled by the memorable moment in Pathaan (2023) when Salman Khan, as Tiger, comes to the aid of Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan in a thrilling scene. In a recent interview with Anupama Chopra for The Hollywood Reporter India, Aamir Khan reacted to this beloved scene.
The movie’s end-credit scene takes it further, as Pathaan and Tiger humorously discuss the idea of letting the younger generation of spies take over, only to conclude that no one can truly replace them. Pathaan’s line, “Desh ka sawaal hai, baccho pe nahin chod sakte,” subtly hinted at the irreplaceable status of the two Khans in Indian cinema.
In a recent interview with Anupama Chopra for The Hollywood Reporter India, Aamir Khan reacted to this beloved scene. Although Aamir hasn’t watched Pathaan, he caught the clip online and found it amusing. “It’s quite funny. I think all the young actors must have got really upset. And you can’t even get too upset with Shah Rukh and Salman. Kya kar sakte hain,” he laughed.
When asked about the enduring stardom of himself, Shah Rukh, and Salman, Aamir acknowledged the longevity of other stars like Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, and Amitabh Bachchan. He reflected on the mysterious nature of stardom, saying, “If anyone has figured out what stardom is, then you tell me because I don’t know.”
Aamir shared his perspective on the impact of social media on stardom, emphasizing that it has changed the way fans interact with stars, making them more accessible. He suggested that emerging actors might benefit from a certain level of privacy.
Reflecting on what makes a star, Aamir concluded, “The true measure of stardom is how many seats you can fill. As a producer, if I’m signing a star, I expect them to draw audiences to theaters.”
