This is How Much Salman Khan Will Earn For Hosting Bigg Boss 18

Salman Khan, the iconic host of Bigg Boss 18, has once again upped the ante with his fee for the new season. According to sources who spoke with Hindustan Times, Salman’s pay this season includes a combination of per-episode charges and a lucrative lump sum contract. If the season runs for 15 weeks, as it did in previous editions, the Bollywood superstar is set to rake in a whopping ₹250 crore for hosting duties. This translates to around ₹60 crore per month, aligning with earlier reports from HerZindagi.

Last season, Khan’s fee was reportedly ₹12 crore per episode, totalling ₹50 crore per month. However, with this new pay hike, his earnings for Bigg Boss 18 are expected to surpass those figures, further solidifying his position as one of India’s highest-paid TV hosts.

Salman has been the face of Bigg Boss for over a decade, with his presence becoming synonymous with the show’s success. Although the show was initially hosted by Arshad Warsi and later Amitabh Bachchan, it is Salman’s hosting that has consistently driven high TRPs. On rare occasions when Salman steps away due to legal or film commitments, the show’s ratings have reportedly dipped, proving that his star power is the primary draw for viewers. The producers, acknowledging his influence, have continued to increase his pay year after year.

In a recent promo, Salman humorously teased fans by imagining himself hosting Bigg Boss 38, showcasing his long-term association with the reality show.

Salman Khan: One of India’s Highest-Paid TV Hosts
Salman Khan’s trajectory in the entertainment industry is remarkable. When he first began hosting Bigg Boss 15 years ago, he earned between ₹5-10 crore per Bollywood film. Today, he commands around ₹150 crore per project. Hosting Bigg Boss, which occupies nearly a third of his year, brings him a similar figure, reinforcing his status as one of the highest-paid TV personalities in India.

For context, Kapil Sharma reportedly earned ₹60 crore for the first season of Netflix’s The Great Indian Kapil Show, while Amitabh Bachchan remains in the same league as Salman, consistently earning massive fees for his long-standing role as the host of Kaun Banega Crorepati.

Salman Khan’s ever-increasing fees highlight his irreplaceable value to Bigg Boss and his continued reign as one of Bollywood’s most bankable stars.
