Mohanlal and Shobana’s much-anticipated Malayalam film ‘Thudarum’ is enjoying an impressive run at the box office. Released on April 25, 2025, the emotional drama has crossed the ₹30 crore mark within just four days, riding high on strong word-of-mouth and positive critical reception.

According to early trade estimates by Sacnilk, ‘Thudarum’ earned ₹7 crore on its first Monday (Day 4), bringing its total India net collection to ₹31.35 crore. The film has shown steady growth, with a solid Monday hold suggesting that it is poised for a good run in the coming weeks.

The Malayalam-language film recorded an overall 53.40% occupancy on Monday:

  • Afternoon shows: 50.50%

Directed by Tharun Moorthy and produced by M. Renjith, ‘Thudarum’ follows the story of a taxi driver whose peaceful life takes a dramatic turn when he is forced to fight for what he holds dearest. Besides Mohanlal and Shobana, the film features Thomas Mathew, Farhaan Faasil, Aarsha Chandini Baiju, Irshad Ali, Maniyanpilla Raju, Krishna Prabha, and Nandu in pivotal roles.

Made on a reported budget of ₹28 crore, ‘Thudarum’ has already recovered its production cost and is heading towards becoming one of the notable Malayalam hits of 2025.
