March 1, 2025: Indian fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) are in for a special treat as Marvel Studios’ highly anticipated film Thunderbolts will hit Indian cinemas a day ahead of its global release on May 1, 2025. The film will be available in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu, giving fans multiple options to enjoy this action-packed adventure.

Marvel India shared the exciting news on Instagram, writing, “Not Supers, not heroes, the THUNDERBOLTS* strike in 2 months! Releasing In Cinemas, 1 May 2025. In English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.”

Thunderbolts promises to deliver a high-octane spectacle, bringing together a team of anti-heroes for a high-stakes mission. The ensemble cast includes Florence Pugh, Sebastian Stan, David Harbour, Wyatt Russell, Olga Kurylenko, and Lewis Pullman. The film’s trailer, released during the Super Bowl on February 10, provides a glimpse into the action-packed world where a group of misfits, led by Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan), are hired to protect the city in the absence of the Avengers.

The trailer also introduces the villain, Sentry, one of the most powerful anti-heroes in the Marvel Universe. Directed by Jake Schreier, Thunderbolts has faced some production delays due to the writers’ and actors’ strikes last year, resulting in a shift in the film’s release date. The film has seen some changes in its production team, with Geraldine Viswanathan stepping in for Ayo Edebiri, and Lewis Pullman replacing Steven Yeun due to scheduling conflicts.
