Joshua Blackledge, a 16-year-old TikTok creator from North Carolina, who amassed over a million followers with his engaging content on cars, friendship, and teen life, has tragically passed away. His death occurred at his home on March 18, and the cause has not yet been revealed.
A junior at West Carteret High School, Joshua was active in wrestling and track and was remembered for his infectious energy, love for the outdoors, and passion for cars and trucks. According to his obituary, he also enjoyed cooking and gardening with his mother, and was known for his playful spirit — often seen performing backflips and bringing smiles to those around him.

Remembering Josh
His girlfriend, Emmie Gillikin, who frequently appeared in his videos, shared an emotional tribute on social media. “Josh showed me what love really was. He never failed to put a smile on my face,” she wrote, alongside clips from their time together. The couple had recently celebrated their 8-month anniversary.

Fans across TikTok and other platforms expressed their sorrow and shock. One wrote, “Knowing that Joshua is not here anymore breaks my heart… he was so loved.” Another added, “Even though we never knew you personally, your videos brought joy to us all.”
Joshua’s final TikTok posts featured a white BMW and a new truck — showcasing his love for vehicles and freedom. He is survived by his parents, Jonathan and Jackie Blackledge, and his younger brother, Josiah.
