The Marty Supreme star broke his silence on whether he is the masked British rapper EsDeeKid, offering a highly cryptic “All will be revealed in due time.”

December 12, 2025: The internet’s biggest celebrity conspiracy theory—that actor Timothée Chalamet is secretly the viral underground British rapper EsDeeKid—has been intensified by the actor’s latest cryptic remarks. Chalamet addressed the circulating rumors during an appearance on the British radio programme Heart Breakfast while promoting his new film, Marty Supreme.

“All Will Be Revealed in Due Time”

When directly asked by the host if EsDeeKid was his alter ego, the actor initially offered a non-committal answer, replying, “I have no comment on that. No, I mean, I have no comment.”

However, when the host pressed the issue, pointing out the rumored similarities between the two, such as the striking resemblance of their eyes and the fact that both were photographed wearing the same skull scarf, Chalamet leaned into the mystery.

He gave a mischievous smile and paused before teasing, “I’ve got two words on that… All will be revealed in due time.” He then joked, “That was a little more than two words.”

The Rapper’s Mysterious Identity

The rumors linking the Oscar nominee to the Liverpudlian alt-rapper have been rampant for months. EsDeeKid maintains a completely anonymous public persona, performing with his face largely concealed by a balaclava.

  • The Theory’s Origin: Speculation initially began when fans noticed the striking similarity between the rapper’s visible eyes and Chalamet’s.
  • Fuelling the Fire: The actor further fueled the narrative by attending a show in London by the artist Fakemink, who is featured on EsDeeKid’s viral track “LV Sandals.”
  • EsDeeKid Profile: The rapper, who has a distinctive Scouse accent, released his debut album, Rebel, in June and has amassed more than 11 million monthly listeners on Spotify. His real name, age, and other personal details are unknown.

Chalamet, who has always been vocal about his love for hip-hop, also joked about his own high school alter ego, “Lil Timmy Tim,” contrasting the mysterious nature of EsDeeKid with his 2012 viral rap video from a high school event.
