"Together": Is Their Love Too Strong... for a Thriller?
Los Angeles, California, July 22, 2025: What happens when two people can’t be apart from each other? The new horror-thriller movie “Together,” which stars real-life married pair Dave Franco and Alison Brie, is based on this disturbing idea. The movie, which has gotten great reviews from critics, will be out in theaters next month. It is a unique mix of love drama and body horror.
Summary of the plot:
“Together” is about Millie (Alison Brie) and Tim (Dave Franco), a couple who have been together for a few years but are starting to drift apart. Millie is focused on her profession, which is why they moved to the country for her new position. Tim is an aspiring musician who hasn’t made it yet, and Millie is getting more and more angry with him because he doesn’t know what he wants to do. The transfer gives them a chance to start over.
They choose to go for a walk while they get used to their new home. While they are out for a walk, they get stuck, and in a moment of desperation, Tim drinks from a strange pool of water. This seemingly harmless deed sets off a terrifying change: their physical parts start to merge. At first, they are able to separate, but the unusual event keeps happening, causing them to change their personalities and feel an unexplainable need to be “together” all the time.
Tim and Millie are trying to change their condition in the movie, which promises to be stomach-turning bodily horror. “Together” explores issues of codependency and the darker, stranger sides of relationships, making viewers wonder if the affliction is just a metaphor for their problems or something much more evil at work.
Details about the cast and release:
Damon Herriman (known for “Once Upon A Time In Hollywood”) and Mia Morrissey (“Home and Away”) are also in the cast, along with Dave Franco and Alison Brie.
Neon, a studio known for distributing adventurous and highly praised films like “Anora” and “Parasite,” is in charge of “Together.” Critics have already praised the movie for its unique plot, scary horror scenes, and the great performances by Franco and Brie, whose chemistry in real life is used to make their on-screen chemistry even better.
On August 15, 2025, “Together” will be shown in UK theaters. It will also come out in the US on August 1, 2025. At first, it will only be presented in a few big markets in theaters.
