May 18, 2025 | Tom Cruise’s action-packed farewell to Ethan Hunt in Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning has made a thunderous debut at the Indian box office, collecting a stellar ₹17.5 crore on Day 1. Released six days ahead of its global premiere, the film has set a new benchmark for Hollywood releases in India in 2025.
According to Sacnilk.com, the film enjoyed an impressive 75.61% English-language occupancy on Saturday, easily surpassing the opening day figures of other big-ticket Hollywood films and even several domestic titles.

- Captain America: Brave New World opened at ₹4.2 crore
- Thunderbolts at ₹3.8 crore
- Minecraft: The Movie, the highest-grossing Hollywood film globally this year, opened at just ₹2 crore in India

Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning is directed by franchise veteran Christopher McQuarrie. It features an ensemble cast including Hayley Atwell, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Vanessa Kirby, Pom Klementieff, and Angela Bassett. Originally conceived as Dead Reckoning – Part Two, the film was renamed ahead of release.
