Loki star recalls watching Shah Rukh Khan’s Devdas, praises SS Rajamouli

This is not the first time Hiddleston has expressed his admiration for Shah Rukh Khan. In earlier interviews, he had suggested that SRK would make a great variant of Loki and repeatedly named him while associating words with India and Bollywood. From recalling Devdas to praising Indian filmmakers, Hiddleston’s comments once again highlight his long-standing appreciation for Indian cinema and its global influence.

Actor Tom Hiddleston has revealed that the first Indian film he ever watched was Devdas, the 2002 Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial starring Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai and Madhuri Dixit. Speaking to Hollywood Reporter India, the Loki star said he has admired Indian cinema for a long time and vividly remembers watching the period romance at a local theatre, calling it an extraordinary experience unlike anything he had seen before.
