Tom Holland shared new on-set photos on Instagram, giving fans a first look at his more comic-book-accurate suit and confirming that production has officially begun on the fourth MCU film.
August 4, 2025: The web-slinging hero is back, and he’s getting a major upgrade. Tom Holland has given fans a first look at his new suit and the set for the upcoming film Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
In an Instagram post on Sunday, Holland shared two on-set photos of himself in the new Spider-Man costume. The reveal comes just a day after the official Spider-Man movie account released a teaser showing the new suit, which features more vivid reds and blues and a larger spider symbol, making it more faithful to the comic books.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day, set to hit theaters on July 31, 2026, will continue Peter Parker’s story after the events of 2021’s No Way Home. The title is based on the comic book arc of the same name, where the world’s memory of Peter Parker is erased. This plot will likely pick up directly from the end of No Way Home, where a spell caused everyone to forget Spider-Man’s secret identity.
The film is directed by Shang-Chi helmer Destin Daniel Cretton and will also feature some exciting new additions to the MCU. Jon Bernthal is confirmed to reprise his role as The Punisher, and Mark Ruffalo will return as Bruce Banner, aka The Hulk.
