Tom Holland’s ‘Spider-Man 4’ Release Date Gets Delayed, Checkout New Release Date!

February 22, 2025: The release of Tom Holland’s much-anticipated Spider-Man 4 has been delayed. Originally scheduled for release on July 24, 2026, the film’s new release date has been pushed to July 31, 2026, according to a report by The Hollywood Reporter.

The move places Spider-Man 4 just a week after Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey, which also stars Holland and is slated for release on July 17, 2026. Sony Pictures officially confirmed the date change for the upcoming Marvel superhero movie.

The director of Spider-Man 4 is Destin Daniel Cretton, known for his work on Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. Cretton’s involvement with the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) has led to much excitement, especially since Shang-Chi was widely praised for its unique storytelling.

Holland, who has portrayed Peter Parker in three previous Spider-Man films directed by Jon Watts—Homecoming (2017), Far From Home (2019), and No Way Home (2021)—confirmed the news while appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. He shared that production for the fourth installment is expected to begin in mid-2025, saying, “Next summer, we start shooting. Everything’s good to go — we’re nearly there. Super exciting. I can’t wait!”
