April 30, 2025: The highly anticipated second season of Hulu’s Nine Perfect Strangers has released its official trailer, offering a glimpse of Nicole Kidman’s return as the enigmatic and complex guru, Masha Dmitrichenko.
Set in the serene but mysterious Austrian Alps, the new season centers around Masha welcoming a new group of strangers to her exclusive wellness retreat. Here, they will undergo intense psychedelic therapy in an effort to heal deep emotional wounds and confront their trauma. However, as the trailer hints, their healing journey will not be an easy one.
In a powerful moment from the trailer, Masha tells her guests, “I invited you all here because sometimes you shouldn’t deal with pain gently,” showcasing her tough-love approach to transformation. However, as the season progresses, the strangers will face unexpected obstacles, and their paths to self-discovery will be far from smooth.
The trailer also teases that Masha, herself, is not immune to trauma, with one character telling her, “You came to me a broken woman… And you break everyone you try to heal,” suggesting that Masha’s past will play a crucial role in the upcoming season.
The second season features an all-star ensemble cast, including Henry Golding, Lena Olin, Annie Murphy, Christine Baranski, and King Princess. The show is executive produced by David E. Kelley, Nicole Kidman, and Bruna Papandrea, among others.
Season 2 of Nine Perfect Strangers will premiere on May 21, 2025, with a special two-episode launch. New episodes will be released every Wednesday until the season finale on July 2, 2025.
