Trailer Drop: A Big Bold Beautiful Journey Promises Magic & Emotion

June 3, 2025: The first trailer for the upcoming romantic drama A Big Bold Beautiful Journey is here, and it promises an emotional, time-traveling adventure starring Margot Robbie and Colin Farrell.

Directed by Pachinko and After Yang filmmaker Kogonada and penned by The Menu co-writer Seth Reiss, the film hits theaters on September 19, distributed by Columbia Pictures under Sony.

Robbie and Farrell portray Sarah and David—two strangers who first meet at a friend’s wedding. Their lives take a mysterious twist when a strange GPS-like signal reconnects them and leads them on a surreal journey through time. Using magical doors that transport them to pivotal moments from their pasts, Sarah and David begin to explore lost memories and discover an unexpected emotional bond.

Speaking at CinemaCon, Kogonada described the movie as “the kind of film I would want to watch in a packed theater.” He added, “At its heart, it is two people reconciling with their past to find love in the present.”

The star-studded cast includes Kevin Kline, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Lily Rabe, Jodie Turner-Smith, Lucy Thomas, Hamish Linklater, Billy Magnussen, Sarah Gadon, Brandon Perea, and Yuvi Hecht.

A Big Bold Beautiful Journey marks Margot Robbie’s first acting project since Barbie, and Colin Farrell’s since The Penguin.

The film is produced by Bradley Thomas, Ryan Friedkin, Seth Reiss, and Youree Henley, with Kogonada, Ilene Feldman, Ori Eisen, and others serving as executive producers.
