The much-anticipated trailer for ‘Chhota Bheem and the Curse of Damyaan’ was released on Friday, with acclaimed filmmaker Farah Khan presenting it during a grand event in Mumbai. The trailer launch also featured the unveiling of the film’s villain, Damyaan.

The movie, a live-action adaptation of the popular animation series ‘Chhota Bheem,’ depicts the titular hero fighting an ancient demon named Damyaan to protect the inhabitants of his village, Dholakpur. The film stars Anupam Kher, Makrand Deshpande, and Yagya Bhasin in pivotal roles, alongside Kabir Shaikh (Kalia), Advik Jaiswal (Raju), Daivik Dawar (Dholu), Divyam Dawar (Bholu), Aashriya Misra (Chutki), and Swarna Pandey (Indumati).

Farah Khan shared the trailer on her Instagram stories, congratulating the entire team on the launch. Yagya Bhasin also posted the trailer on his Instagram handle with the caption, “India’s most favorite superhero and our childhood sensation #ChhotaBheemTrailer is out now… Bringing back all the joy and excitement together in cinemas on May 31st.”

Farah Khan, serving as the movie’s ambassador, re-shared the trailer announcement poster on Instagram stories, writing, “See you all there! #ChhotaBheem #ChhotaBheemandTheCurseOfDamyaan #CBCODonMay31.”

Anupam Kher recently unveiled the new release date, announcing that ‘Chhota Bheem and the Curse of Damyaan’ will now hit cinemas on May 31, instead of the previously scheduled May 24. In March, Kher had also unveiled the teaser for the film.

The movie, directed by Rajiv Chilaka and produced by Rajiv and Megha Chilaka, is written by Niraj Vikram and co-produced by Srinivas Chilakalapudi and Bharath Laxmipati. Anupam Kher will be seen as Guru Shambhu, with Makrand Deshpande playing Skandhi. Yagya Bhasin brings Chhota Bheem to life, and Aashriya Mishra stars as Chutki. Surabhi Tiwari, known for her role in ‘Shagun,’ will portray Tuntun Mausi.

The announcement of ‘Chhota Bheem and the Curse of Damyaan’ was made last year in Mumbai, celebrating 15 incredible years of the beloved animation series. The film is set to premiere in theaters on May 31, 2024.
