March 24, 2025: The trailer for Phule, a biographical drama that brings to life the struggles and triumphs of Mahatma Jyotirao Phule and his wife, Dnyanajyoti Savitribai Phule, has been released. Directed by Ananth Mahadevan, the film features Pratik Gandhi in the role of Jyotirao Phule and Patralekhaa as Savitribai Phule.
Set to release on April 11, 2025, coinciding with Phule’s birth anniversary, the film offers a glimpse into the legendary reformers’ fight for social justice, women’s emancipation, and their relentless struggle against caste oppression.
Pratik Gandhi, reflecting on his role, shared how he felt privileged to portray the iconic reformer, acknowledging the immense challenges Phule faced in dismantling oppressive social systems. Patralekhaa expressed her admiration for Savitribai Phule, recognizing her significant contributions to women’s education and social equality.
