Travis Kelce Dodges Travel Questions Amid Met Gala Absence With Taylor Swift

May 7, 2025: Travis Kelce is keeping details of his recent travels close to the vest — even when teased by his own mother.

On the latest episode of his New Heights podcast, the Kansas City Chiefs star was put on the spot by his mother, Donna Kelce, who noticed his noticeably darker complexion.

“You look a little dark, Trav. You have a tan?” she asked, prompting Kelce to laugh it off, saying he’d just been in his “cubicle.” Despite the deflection, he eventually admitted, “I’m everywhere. I’m everywhere, mommy,” while refusing to elaborate further.

Kelce’s brother, Jason, chimed in jokingly, suggesting Travis had been to Haiti — a nod to Donna’s recent cruise detour due to unrest in the Caribbean nation. Donna replied with a knowing smile, “Looks like you guys were having fun,” but Kelce quickly shifted the conversation.

The episode, recorded shortly after Kelce and his girlfriend Taylor Swift skipped the 2025 Met Gala, added fuel to fan curiosity. According to TMZ, the high-profile couple was invited to the fashion event but opted out due to demanding schedules.

Travis, 35, and Swift, also 35, have largely remained under the radar since the end of the NFL season and the conclusion of Swift’s Eras Tour. While they did enjoy a private international vacation in February, they avoided public appearances, only surfacing briefly for a March dinner outing in Park City, Utah.

Despite their absence from public events and occasional solo trips — including Kelce’s recent Las Vegas getaway with friends — sources close to the couple maintain that they remain “so in love.”

As the podcast episode unfolded, Kelce hinted he might join his mother on upcoming vacations to Mexico and elsewhere. “Let me know. I might just magically appear,” he said with a grin. “I don’t like to tell everybody where I’m going, but I do like to just pop up on people.”

Donna also reflected on meeting some of her son’s past partners, adding a lighthearted close to an episode full of subtle hints — but no confirmations — about Kelce’s whereabouts.
