The NFL star spoke about his “unforgettable” Italian getaway with Taylor Swift, saying they “danced around Lake Como for a little while.”
December 4, 2025: The highly scrutinized relationship between NFL star Travis Kelce and pop icon Taylor Swift continues to unfold, with Kelce recently sharing intimate details about their romantic getaway to Italy earlier this year.
Speaking on a recent episode of the New Heights podcast to guest host George Clooney, the 36-year-old opened up about the couple’s trip to the picturesque Lake Como in May 2024, images of which instantly went viral.
Dancing Around Lake Como
Kelce described the Italian trip as a series of “epic realisations” and experiences he “never even imagined in his dreams.” He highlighted the beautiful spontaneity of their time there.
“Me and Tay (Taylor) danced around Lake Como for a little while. I loved it out there,” Travis shared.
He revealed that every day was an unforgettable experience, from “running down to the water in the mornings” to soaking in both gloomy and beautiful days. While discussing Lake Como, Kelce joked that people constantly point out Clooney’s famous Italian residence during boat tours. Clooney playfully responded that he’s happy to be “part of the tour.”
Falling in Love with Italian Dining
Beyond the scenic views, Kelce expressed immense appreciation for Northern Italy’s culinary culture, particularly the small, intimate restaurants.
“There’s so many little spots that are just so fun to go to dinner too. It’s like you’re going to a place that has, like ten seats in a corner of a cove, and it’s just the best pasta you could ever imagine,” he raved. “It’s such a cool place. I recommend the place to everybody.”
Clooney echoed Kelce’s sentiments, highlighting the Italian tradition where meals are a multi-generational, hours-long family celebration, savored by “a ten-year-old and you’re eating with your grandparents.”
The couple has been making the most of their time together, scheduling romantic trips around Swift’s demanding Eras Tour schedule as speculation continues to build regarding their future wedding plans.
