Travis Scott’s India Concert Tickets Sell Out in Hours, Second Show Added & Sold Out Too
April 6, 2025: Rapper Travis Scott has officially ignited a frenzy in India. As soon as tickets for his Circus Maximus tour went live on Saturday at 1:30 PM IST, fans rushed to BookMyShow—only to be greeted by virtual queues that reminded many of their JEE rank anxiety. Tickets for the October 18 concert at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, New Delhi were gone in no time, prompting organizers to announce a second show on October 19, which also sold out within hours.
Both shows will take place at the 60,000-seater stadium, meaning over 1.2 lakh fans will experience Travis Scott live in India across two days.
Social media quickly lit up with fan reactions. Many joked about the hectic booking experience, saying it felt like “waiting for NEET results” or “getting through a Blackpink ticket queue in K-pop land.” The chaos bore striking resemblance to the online scramble when Coldplay performed in India earlier this year.
The British band’s Music Of The Spheres tour was a mammoth event, drawing over 223,000 fans across shows in Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium and Mumbai’s DY Patil Stadium in January 2025.
India’s global music scene is booming. Apart from Travis, Guns N’ Roses is also scheduled to perform this year. Their May 17 concert at Mumbai’s Mahalaxmi Race Course will mark their return to India after over a decade, their last visit being in 2012.
A BookMyShow spokesperson commented, “The kind of demand we saw for Travis Scott is not just a reflection of his global stardom but also shows how Indian fans are ready to host—and sell out—major international concerts in record time.”
