Trio Is Back! Beyoncé Joins Venus Williams and Nicole Kidman for Met Gala 2026
The music icon returns to host the prestigious event after a decade-long absence, joining the tennis legend and veteran actress alongside Vogue’s Anna Wintour.
December 11, 2025: The Metropolitan Museum of Art has announced a powerful trio of co-chairs for the Met Gala 2026, confirming that music superstar Beyoncé, tennis champion Venus Williams, and acclaimed actress Nicole Kidman will assist Vogue‘s Anna Wintour in hosting the highly anticipated event.
The annual fundraiser for the museum’s Costume Institute is scheduled for the first Monday in May—May 4, 2026—and is one of the world’s most watched charity galas.
The three co-chairs bring varied experience to the esteemed role:
Anna Wintour will, as always, oversee the event, which last year raised a record $31 million for the Costume Institute.
The gala will mark the opening of the Costume Institute’s spring exhibition, the theme of which was announced in November as “Costume Art.”
The exhibition will inaugurate the Met’s new, sprawling Condé M. Nast Galleries and will explore the complex relationship between clothing and the body. According to Vogue, the show will pair garments with artworks from The Met’s collection to reveal the inherent connection between fashion and the human form.
The exhibit will be divided into thematic body types, ranging from the well-represented “Naked Body” and “Classical Body” to historically overlooked types such as the “Pregnant Body” and the “Ageing Body.”
The museum also unveiled a star-studded gala host committee, co-chaired by designer Anthony Vaccarello and filmmaker Zoë Kravitz. The committee features global figures across music, cinema, and fashion, including:
