Trolls Call Amitabh Bachchan “Buddha Sathiya Gaya Hai”, He Retorts With Sharp, Witty Replies-Read On

From calling out ageist remarks to mocking trolling logic, the Bollywood legend reminded the internet that he’s still the ‘Shahenshah’ of comebacks.

Mumbai, June 24, 2025:
Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan, known not only for his legendary roles but also his spirited social media presence, gave a masterclass in online comebacks on Monday. After being targeted by trolls on X (formerly Twitter) with ageist and mocking comments, the megastar responded with wit, grace, and a healthy dose of sarcasm.

It all began when Bachchan posted a cryptic message, “Ji Huzur, mai bhi ek prashansak hu. Toh?” (Yes sir, I am a fan too.. so?). What followed was a flurry of negative responses from some users, taking jabs at his age and frequent warnings on mobile calls regarding cybercrime.

One user quipped, “People are now getting annoyed with your voice on calls.” Bachchan fired back, “Sarkaar se kaho” (Tell that to the government).

Another troll cruelly commented, “Buddha sathiya gaya” (The old man has lost it), to which Big B responded sharply:
Ek din bhagwan na karein who jaldi aaye, ap bhi sathiya jaayenge. Parantu humarein yaha kahawat hai – jo satha, who patha.
(“God forbid the day comes soon – you too will grow old. But where I come from, we say: The older, the wiser.”)

Yet another sarcastic remark read, “Even a calculator doesn’t show so much attitude.”
Bachchan’s reply? “Apka calculator bhi apke baarein mein yehi keh raha hai – overthinking!
(“Your calculator says the same about you – overthinking!”)

Amidst the trolling, the actor also shared a one-word post, “Chalo” (Let’s go), triggering a wave of humorous replies from fans and followers. One asked, “Kahan sir?” (Where to, sir?), while another joked, “Itni jaldi kya hai?” (What’s the rush?).

Despite the negativity, a large section of users supported the actor, applauding his dignified yet humorous replies.

Amitabh Bachchan, 82, continues to stay active on social media and is currently voicing public service messages on mobile networks. He will soon be seen in the film “Kalki 2898 AD” alongside Prabhas and Deepika Padukone.
