‘Tron: Ares’ Trailer Out, Film Set For October Release

April 6, 2025: Disney has unveiled the trailer for Tron: Ares, the highly anticipated third installment in the Tron franchise, which began with the 1982 original film and continued with Tron: Legacy in 2010.

The film stars Jared Leto, who plays the central role of Ares, a program from the digital universe tasked with entering the real world. Joining him in the cast is Jeff Bridges, who reprises his role as Kevin Flynn, the iconic character from the original Tron. The trailer provides fans with their first glimpse of the epic clash between the real world and the digital universe that Tron is known for.

Other notable stars in the film include Evan Peters as Julian Dillinger, a character whose last name connects him to the villain Ed Dillinger from the first Tron film, played by David Warner. The ensemble also includes Greta Lee, Jodie Turner-Smith, Cameron Monaghan, Sarah Desjardins, Hasan Minhaj, Arturo Castro, and Gillian Anderson.

Directed by Joachim Rønning, Tron: Ares will explore the digital landscape once again, continuing the franchise’s tradition of blending cutting-edge visual effects with a thrilling narrative. The movie is set to hit theaters on October 10, 2025.
