Amid grief over the Pahalgam attack, Adnan Sami slams Pakistan’s Fawad Chaudhry for mocking him, calls out Pakistan’s “ignorance and insensitivity”.
April 27, 2025: New Delhi:
In the midst of nationwide grief after the horrific terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam, singer Adnan Sami unleashed a scathing counterattack on former Pakistani minister Fawad Ahmed Hussain Chaudhry, who mocked him on social media.
Chaudhry, a former minister from Imran Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), took a jibe at India’s expulsion order for Pakistani nationals, asking sarcastically, “What about Adnan Sami?”
Sami, who was born in the UK to a Pakistani father and a mother from Jammu, has been an Indian citizen since 2016. He first moved to India in 2001 and relinquished his Pakistani citizenship years ago.

Dismissing Chaudhry’s taunt, Sami called him an “illiterate idiot” on X (formerly Twitter), highlighting the former minister’s ignorance.
The Pakistani politician escalated the spat by making a personal attack on Sami’s dramatic weight loss, saying in Urdu, “Looks like the balloon has deflated.”
In a blistering comeback, Adnan Sami corrected Chaudhry, reminding him that his roots were in Peshawar, not Lahore, and tore into him with sarcasm:

“Meri tho hawa nikal gayi, tu abhi bhi balloon hai. And you were Minister of Science? Was that the science of bulls**t?”
(“I may have deflated, but you are still a balloon.”)

Sami’s fury is deeply tied to the emotions of millions of Indians reeling from the April 22 massacre in Pahalgam, where terrorists killed 25 tourists and a local Kashmiri in cold blood. Expressing his heartbreak earlier, Sami posted:
“My heart has shattered into a million pieces. How can humanity stoop to such depravity?”
India has responded forcefully to the attack — suspending the Indus Waters Treaty, expelling Pakistani diplomats, cancelling visas, and demanding Pakistani citizens currently in India leave the country.
Amid this escalating tension, the crossfire between prominent personalities like Sami and Chaudhry highlights the deepening public sentiment on both sides.
