Bejoy Nambiar’s survival thriller Tu Yaa Main, starring Adarsh Gourav and Shanaya Kapoor, faced a challenging start at the box office on its opening day, Friday, February 13, 2026.

Despite positive critical word-of-mouth and high-profile endorsements, the film struggled to convert curiosity into ticket sales, collecting approximately ₹55 lakh.

The film found itself in a tough “clash of the couples” against the big-budget Shahid Kapoor-starrer O’Romeo, which dominated the single screens and multiplexes alike.

The Plot: A remake of the 2018 Thai film The Pool, it follows a rapper from Nalasopara (Adarsh Gourav) and a glamorous influencer (Shanaya Kapoor) who get trapped in a drained swimming pool with a hungry crocodile.
Karan Johar’s Review: The filmmaker took to Instagram to praise the film, calling it “traumatizing in the best way” and warning viewers, “Swimming pools will never be the same for me again!”
