Urvashi Rautela Missing from Daaku Maharaaj OTT Poster, Sparks Hilarious Fan Reactions
February 17, 2025: After a successful box office run, Nandamuri Balakrishna’s action-packed drama Daaku Maharaaj is set to premiere on Netflix. However, what’s grabbing more attention than the OTT release itself is the absence of actress Urvashi Rautela from the film’s official streaming poster.
On Sunday, Netflix unveiled the official poster for Daaku Maharaaj, confirming its streaming premiere on February 21. The poster prominently features Nandamuri Balakrishna, Bobby Deol, Pragya Jaiswal, and Shraddha Srinath, but Urvashi Rautela is nowhere to be seen. The announcement, shared on Netflix India’s Instagram, read, “We would just like to say pranaam maharaj. Watch Daaku Maharaaj, out on 21 Feb on Netflix!”
Fans quickly noticed the missing actress and took to social media to share their hilarious reactions. One user asked, “But where is the lead actress?” while another joked, “India’s first woman to be removed from the poster of a ₹105+ crore film.”
Another comment read, “First Indian lead actress to not be seen on her film poster,” while a fan tagged Urvashi directly, asking, “@urvashirautela you were in this movie, right? Can’t see you on the poster.” The most viral remark was, “Where is Miss Rolex?” referring to Urvashi’s widely discussed luxury watch moment during the film’s promotions.
Interestingly, Urvashi Rautela had been heavily involved in the promotions of Daaku Maharaaj, frequently discussing its success in interviews and social media posts. The film, despite facing controversy over the Dabidi Dibidi song featuring Urvashi and Balakrishna, turned out to be a box office hit, earning ₹90 crore in India and ₹125.8 crore worldwide.
Directed by Bobby Kolli and produced under Sithara Entertainments, Fortune Four Cinemas, and Srikara Studios, Daaku Maharaaj is a Telugu-language action drama starring:
With Daaku Maharaaj now heading to Netflix, fans will finally get to see if Urvashi Rautela’s on-screen presence justifies her absence from the OTT promotional campaign.
