Vaani Kapoor to act in Ajay Devgn-starrer ‘Raid 2’

In “Raid 2,” actor Vaani Kapoor is slated to play the lead opposite Ajay Devgn. The movie opened for business in Mumbai on January 6 and was widely anticipated as one of the most anticipated sequels. Raj Kumar Gupta, who oversaw the first installment, is directing Raid 2. Under the banners of T-Series and Panorama Studios, respectively, Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, and Abhishek Pathak are supporting the sequel, which is currently in production. The movie will be shot in Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Mumbai, and other locations extensively. In the 2018 film “Raid,” Saurabh Shukla and Ileana D’Cruz also starred. It was based on a real-life raid conducted by the officers of the Income Tax Department in the 1980s. Ileana played Ajay’s wife in the film.

On Saturday, actor Ravi Teja gave the “Raid 2” mahurat clap, which stars Ajay Devgn. Ajay shared a photo from the mahurat shot on Instagram. Vaani will play a porn star impersonator in the film, which is supposed to take place in the 1990s. The movie looks to be a hilarious ride with a distinctive 90s plot set in the backdrop. The film offers a new take on modern issues with a hint of nostalgia by fusing comedy and social commentary. In addition, she stars in the gritty crime thriller “Mandala Murders,” an OTT series from Yash Raj Films.
