Varun Dhawan, Mrunal Thakur, And Pooja Hegde Shoot ‘Chunari Chunari’ Remake For Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai

May25, 2025: Varun Dhawan, Mrunal Thakur, and Pooja Hegde have teamed up for David Dhawan’s upcoming romantic comedy Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, currently being shot in Europe and the UK. The film is slated for an April 10, 2026 release and promises a perfect mix of romance, nostalgia, and Bollywood entertainment.

One of the highlights generating buzz is the remake of the iconic song Chunari Chunari from the 1999 blockbuster Biwi No. 1. New clips circulating on social media show the cast dancing to the revamped version of the beloved track originally sung by Abhijeet Bhattacharya and Anuradha Sriram and picturized on Salman Khan and Sushmita Sen. Varun, Mrunal, and Pooja appear in stylish western outfits, bringing a fresh and vibrant feel to the nostalgic number.

The film’s title itself is a nod to Biwi No. 1 with inspiration drawn from its hit song Ishq Sona Hai. Besides the lead trio, Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai also stars Mouni Roy, Maniesh Paul, Jimmy Sheirgill, Chunky Panday, Rakesh Bedi, and Ali Asgar in important roles. The movie is produced by Ramesh Taurani and directed by David Dhawan, known for his signature blend of comedy and romance.

The makers shared the first official poster on Instagram with the caption, “Double the trouble, triple the fun! Jab Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai hits cinemas on 10th April 2026.”

In other news, Varun Dhawan is gearing up for Border 2, a highly anticipated sequel to the 1997 war epic Border. Directed by Anurag Singh, the film features a powerful cast including Sunny Deol, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty.
