Varun Dhawan & Pooja Hegde Wrap Rishikesh Schedule of Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai

The duo takes a celebratory river plunge as shooting wraps in Rishikesh; film marks Varun’s fourth collaboration with director-father David Dhawan.

Rishikesh, March 24: Actors Varun Dhawan and Pooja Hegde have completed the Rishikesh shooting schedule of their upcoming romantic comedy Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai. To mark the moment, Varun shared a playful video on Instagram, capturing him and Pooja jumping into the river amidst the scenic backdrop of Rishikesh.

“Jawaan hai toh jump marna hai!!” Varun captioned the clip, tagging it with #HaiJawaniTohIshqHonaHai and #RishikeshWrap.

During the shoot, the duo was also spotted taking part in the Ganga Aarti at the Parmarth Niketan Ashram, soaking in the spiritual atmosphere of the holy town.

Directed by Varun’s father, veteran filmmaker David Dhawan, this marks their fourth collaboration after hits like Main Tera Hero, Judwaa 2, and Coolie No. 1. Expectations are high as the duo reunites for another fun-filled entertainer.

The film blends youthful romance with the director’s signature dose of comedy, and is being closely watched by fans of the Dhawan brand of cinema.

Meanwhile, Varun Dhawan has a packed slate. He will next be seen opposite Janhvi Kapoor in Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, which was initially slated for an April 18 release but is now postponed to September 12 due to production-related reasons.

Written and directed by Shashank Khaitan, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari also stars Sanya Malhotra, Rohit Saraf, Maniesh Paul, and Akshay Oberoi. It is being produced by Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Khaitan under the Dharma Productions banner.

With back-to-back projects lined up, 2024 looks like a busy—and exciting—year for Varun Dhawan fans.
