Actor says tailbone injury was the worst pain he has ever experienced
January 29, 2026: Actor Varun Dhawan has opened up about suffering the worst injury of his career while shooting for his upcoming film Border 2. The actor revealed that he sustained a severe tailbone injury during an action sequence, leaving him in excruciating pain and barely able to walk. Varun shared a behind-the-scenes video on Instagram showing the moment he was pushed into a wall during a fight scene, which led to the injury.
Calling it the “worst pain” he has ever felt, Varun said he smashed his tailbone into a rock while trying to avoid crashing into the camera. Despite the intense discomfort, the actor continued filming with the help of his team. Expressing gratitude, he said the crew supported him throughout the day, allowing him to push through the shoot even though walking was difficult.
Border 2, directed by Anurag Singh, is based on the 1971 India–Pakistan war and is backed by producers Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, J.P. Dutta and Nidhi Dutta under the banners of T-Series and J.P. Films. Varun will also be seen in Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, co-starring Pooja Hegde and Mrunal Thakur, which is scheduled for a theatrical release on June 5.
