Varun Dhawan, currently filming for Border 2, has been immersing himself in the role by training with real-life heroes in preparation for his role in the film. On January 15, marking the 77th Indian Army Day, the Bollywood actor paid tribute to the Indian soldiers by sharing pictures from the sets of the film.

In the post, he highlighted his interaction with the soldiers, captioning the images with, “Honoring the real heroes of India this #ArmyDay. Proud to be with them. #Border2 #prep.”

Sunny Deol, another key star of Border 2, also took the opportunity to pay his respects to the Indian Army. He shared a heartfelt message on social media with videos and pictures from his visit to the Army, where he joined the soldiers in chanting “Bharat Mata Ki Jai.” He wrote in his post, “Then, Now, and Forever Saluting the courage, sacrifice, and unwavering dedication of our heroes. Happy Indian Army Day! #HindustanZindabad #ArmyDay.”

The day, which commemorates the service and sacrifice of India’s armed forces, was also acknowledged by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who extended his best wishes to the Indian Army. In his message, he lauded the courage and sacrifice of the soldiers, stating that the nation is proud of their indomitable spirit. He also celebrated the army’s history of overcoming challenges on the country’s borders and in disaster situations, recognizing the professionalism and discipline that have earned the Indian Army a distinguished place globally.
