Varun Dhawan Starrer 'Baby John' Action Packed Taster Out: Watch
November 5, 2024: The much-anticipated “taster cut” of Varun Dhawan’s upcoming film Baby John was released on Monday, presenting the actor in a powerful and intense role. Directed by A Kaleeswaran and produced by Atlee, Baby John is an adaptation of Vijay’s blockbuster Theri, revamped on a grand scale with intensified action and drama. The film also stars Keerthy Suresh, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Jackie Shroff in pivotal roles.
In the teaser, Varun Dhawan portrays a single father with a complex past. He plays a police officer who finds himself in a dangerous confrontation with a mob. The opening sequence includes a voiceover from his character’s daughter, hinting at the father-daughter bond at the heart of the story. In an intriguing combination of action and domesticity, Varun’s character is seen fighting off goons while also cooking in the kitchen. He delivers impactful lines like, “Mere jaise bahot aaye honge, main pehli baar aaya hun” (Many might have come before me, but I am here for the first time), underscoring his resolve and unique strength.
Keerthy Suresh appears as a bride in a fleeting but notable scene, while Wamiqa Gabbi makes a brief yet impactful appearance. However, it is Jackie Shroff who stands out in the teaser, playing the menacing villain Babbar Sher, adding to the film’s heightened tension and excitement.
Produced by Priya Atlee, Murad Khetani, and Jyoti Deshpande, Baby John is set to release in theaters on December 25. Following Atlee’s recent success with Jawan, expectations are high for this action-packed thriller.
