Actor Varun Dhawan recently took a nostalgic trip down memory lane as he reminisced about his experiences working on the film ‘ABCD 2’. Reflecting on the project, Varun expressed his deep fondness for the film, which was not only a major professional milestone but also a personal passion project.
A Dream Come True
“ABCD 2 was more than just a movie for me. Working with the entire team was a blast, and getting to combine my love for acting and dance was like a dream come true. It was truly an amazing experience and this movie will always have a special place in my heart for the incredible journey we all shared,” Varun shared.
The Story and Its Impact
‘ABCD 2’ tells the compelling story of Suresh Mukund (played by Varun Dhawan), a young man determined to fulfill his mother’s dream of him becoming a successful dancer. The film also stars Shraddha Kapoor as Vinita Sharma, Suresh’s childhood friend and love interest. Together, they assemble a team to compete in a prestigious dance competition in New York, battling numerous challenges to win the trophy. Directed by Remo D’Souza, the film captivated audiences with its energetic dance sequences and heartfelt narrative.

Director Remo D’Souza also commemorated the film’s 9th anniversary. Sharing the film’s poster on Instagram, Remo wrote, “#9years of our beautiful journey.” The post resonated with fans, many of whom fondly remembered the film’s impact.

As Varun Dhawan looks back on his ‘ABCD 2’ journey, he is also gearing up for several exciting projects. In the coming months, fans can look forward to seeing him in the action thriller film ‘Baby John’, directed by A Kaleeswaran and presented by Atlee in association with Jio Studios and Cine1 Studios.
Varun is also set to star in the Indian adaptation of the Hollywood series ‘Citadel’, opposite Samantha Ruth Prabhu. This adaptation is created by Raj and DK, following the original series headlined by Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden. The release date for the Indian version of ‘Citadel’ is eagerly awaited.
Additionally, Varun will be featured in ‘Sunny Sanskari ki Tulsi Kumari’, a film written and directed by Shashank Khaitan. The movie boasts an ensemble cast including Janhvi Kapoor, Sanya Malhotra, Rohit Saraf, Maniesh Paul, and Akshay Oberoi.
