87-year-old veteran actress R Subbalakshmi passes away in Kochi

Veteran performer R. Subbalakshmi has passed away. She was most known for her significant contribution to Malayalam film. She was eighty-seven.
On Thursday, Subbalakshmi departed from this life. A few days prior, she had been brought to the hospital because of age-related illnesses. Subbalakshmi had vocal training as well. She began her professional life as a Carnatic musician. She continued to pursue acting later on. Her roles in Malayalam films, such as the well-known pictures Kalyanaraman (2002), Pandippada (2005), and Nandanam (2002), brought her widespread recognition. She performed in Tamil and Telugu movies as well.
Beast, starring Vijay, was her final Tamil film. She acted in Hindi movies as well. In ‘Dil Bechara’, she played the grandmother of the late Sushant Singh Rajput. Former All India Radio staffer Subbalakshmi was also employed as a dubbing artist.
