Vicky and Katrina Reveal Son’s Name; Aditya Dhar Reacts
Two months after the arrival of their first child, Bollywood superstars Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif have finally shared the first glimpse of their son and revealed his name: Vihaan Kaushal.
In a joint Instagram post shared on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, the couple posted a tender image of their hands cradling their newborn’s tiny hand. The announcement, captioned “Our ray of light, Vihaan Kaushal. Prayers are answered. Life is beautiful,” immediately sent social media into a frenzy—not just for the adorable reveal, but for the name’s striking connection to Vicky’s cinematic history.
Fans were quick to point out that Vihaan was the name of Vicky’s iconic character, Major Vihaan Singh Shergill, in the 2019 blockbuster Uri: The Surgical Strike. The role earned Vicky his first National Film Award for Best Actor and cemented his status as a leading man.
The coincidence didn’t escape the film’s director, Aditya Dhar, who is currently basking in the success of his latest hit, Dhurandhar. Reacting to the post, Dhar wrote:
“@vicky @katrina huge congratulations!! Mere Vikkuuu, from bringing Major Vihaan Shergill to life on screen to now holding little Vihaan in your arms, life really has come full circle. All my love and blessings to the three of you.”
While the Uri connection is a delightful bonus for fans, the name Vihaan carries its own beautiful meaning:
