Vicky Kaushal Hails ‘Kesari 2’ As An “Untold Story Told With Grit And Sensitivity

April 18, 2025: The highly anticipated Akshay Kumar-starrer Kesari 2 hit the theatres today and has already received glowing reviews from both critics and audiences. Bollywood celebrities have also been quick to shower praise on the film and its team for their outstanding work.

One of the first to praise the film was actor Vicky Kaushal, who attended a special screening in Mumbai. He took to Instagram to commend the entire team, particularly highlighting the film’s direction and the performances. “An untold story told with so much grit, sincerity, and sensitivity! This is one hell of a directorial debut @karanstyagi,” Vicky wrote. He also gave credit to the team, including Karan Johar, Amritpal Bindra, Anand Tiwari, Apoorva Mehta, Adar Poonawalla, and the stellar cast. “Absolute class. Absolute magic! DON’T MISS,” he added.

Filmmaker Raj Mehta also expressed his admiration for Kesari 2, calling it a fabulous film. “The kind that induces gooseflesh on various occasions and leaves you in awe of one man’s stand against an empire! And who better to portray the man than @akshaykumar sir himself!” he shared on social media, praising Akshay Kumar’s performance as the legendary advocate C Sankaran Nair. Raj also mentioned the impressive performances by R Madhavan and Ananya Panday, as well as the music score, which was overseen by Azeem Dayani. He credited Karan Singh Tyagi for his directorial debut and commended his passion and tenacity.

Kesari 2 focuses on the untold story of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre, with Akshay Kumar portraying the real-life hero, C Sankaran Nair. Directed by Karan Singh Tyagi and produced by Karan Johar, the film also stars Ananya Panday and R Madhavan.
