Vicky Kaushal Shares Funny Story of Katrina Kaif Singing a Punjabi ‘Gangster Vibe’ Song

Vicky Kaushal, known not just for his impressive filmography but also for his strong love for Punjabi music, recently shared a hilarious anecdote involving wife Katrina Kaif. During his appearance on Two Much with Kajol and Twinkle, alongside actor Kriti Sanon, Vicky revealed that Katrina once recorded a video of herself singing a Punjabi song—without realising it carried a full-on gangster vibe.

The Sam Bahadur star explained that this happened before their marriage, during a trip to Alibag. Vicky was hooked on a particular Punjabi track at the time and played it repeatedly during their drive back. Katrina grew fond of the song too.

In a clip that has since gone viral, Vicky recalled,

“There was this one Punjabi song I was tripping on… we were just listening to it on loop. She also started enjoying it. And then very cutely, she made a video singing that song in Punjabi.”

The twist?

Katrina believed the track was a romantic number.

Vicky continued,

“She thought it’s a romantic song… but it had such a gangster vibe—‘If you do this, I’ll kill you, we have so many guns’—that kind. I told her, ‘Please don’t sing this in front of anyone, it’s not the right kind of song!’”

Kriti Sanon then chimed in, revealing that Katrina’s gym playlist transformed drastically after she started dating Vicky, becoming much more Punjabi-heavy.
