Vicky Kaushal Visits Grishneshwar Temple Ahead Of ‘Chhaava’ Release

February 6, 2025: Bollywood star Vicky Kaushal kicked off the promotions for his upcoming film Chhaava with a visit to the Grishneshwar Temple in Aurangabad on Thursday morning.

In the viral visuals, Vicky is seen offering Shiv Puja at the Shri Grishneshwar Temple, seeking blessings as he embarks on the pan-India promotional campaign for his highly anticipated historical drama.

Chhaava is a period drama that brings to life the story of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, played by Vicky Kaushal. The film is set during the reign of the courageous Maratha ruler, beginning with his coronation in 1681. Vicky’s portrayal of the legendary king is expected to be a highlight of the film, which also stars Akshaye Khanna and Rashmika Mandanna in pivotal roles.

During a promotional event in Jaipur, Vicky opened up about the intense preparation required for the role of Sambhaji Maharaj. He shared, “A biopic needs a lot of preparation work not only for an actor but for the entire team. Working on a historical subject is really challenging because of the huge budget, and creating a different era on screen. We have tried to make it as realistic as possible.”

He further added, “As an actor, the preparation is not only physical but also mental. There was action training, bodybuilding training, and also doing research on the history, as it was important to understand that period.”

Chhaava is slated for a theatrical release on February 14, and Vicky’s fans are eager to witness his transformation into the Maratha warrior king. After Chhaava, Vicky will be seen in the epic Mahavatar, where he portrays the legendary warrior sage Parashurama. Mahavatar, inspired by Indian mythology, is set to release in cinemas during Christmas 2026.

With such grand roles and diverse characters ahead, Vicky Kaushal’s film career is set to reach even greater heights in the coming years.
