Vicky Kaushal's Sacred Visit To Mahakumbh 2025 Ahead Of ‘Chhaava’ Release
February 13, 2025: Bollywood actor Vicky Kaushal visited the Mahakumbh 2025, one of the world’s largest spiritual gatherings, to take a holy dip at the sacred Triveni Sangam, the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and the mystical Saraswati rivers, in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh.
On his visit, Vicky expressed his deep gratitude for the chance to be part of this historic event. “I am feeling good. I was waiting to visit Mahakumbh. I am fortunate to have the opportunity to come here,” the actor shared, reflecting on the spiritual significance of the pilgrimage.
His visit comes just ahead of the release of his much-anticipated historical epic, Chhaava. The film, which is set to hit theaters on February 14, 2025, tells the story of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the courageous son of Maratha ruler Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The film, directed by Laxman Utekar, features Vicky in the lead role, with Rashmika Mandanna and Akshaye Khanna also starring in pivotal roles.
Meanwhile, the Mahakumbh 2025 continues to attract millions of devotees. On Thursday alone, more than 1.47 million pilgrims participated in the holy dip at the Triveni Sangam, with about 5 lakh Kalpavasis and nearly 10 lakh pilgrims joining the ongoing Mahakumbh festivities. As of February 12, the number of devotees who have taken part in the sacred dip has crossed 482.9 million, marking a significant milestone in the gathering.
The Mahakumbh, which began on Paush Purnima (January 13, 2025), is a month-long event that draws pilgrims from around the globe. This year’s Mahakumbh is expected to conclude on Mahashivratri (February 26, 2025), bringing together the world’s largest spiritual and cultural congregation.
