February 20, 2025: Chennai: Ajith Kumar’s action thriller Vidaamuyarchi, which started as the biggest Tamil opener of 2025, is now facing a major drop in collections. On Day 14, the film earned just ₹33 lakh, bringing its total India earnings to ₹79.18 crore.

Biggest Tamil Opener, But Struggling to Sustain

Vidaamuyarchi opened as the biggest Tamil film of 2025, with ₹75.76 crore from the Tamil version alone.
However, collections dropped by nearly 85% post the first week, despite strong initial fan hype.
In contrast, another Tamil release, Madha Gaja Raja (Vishal, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar), earned ₹47.56 crore in Tamil Nadu.
