‘Vidaamuyarchi’ Box Office Day 15: Ajith Kumar’s Action Thriller Slows Down, Earns ₹133.75 Crore Worldwide
February 21, 2025: Ajith Kumar’s much-anticipated action thriller ‘Vidaamuyarchi’ has entered its third week at the box office, but the film is witnessing a significant slowdown in collections.
The film had a strong opening of ₹12.25 crore on its first day, but weekdays have seen a steady drop. On Day 15, the film earned just ₹59 lakh, bringing the Tamil net total to ₹77.97 crore.

Despite its hype, the Telugu version failed to gain traction, earning only ₹2 crore in total, with ₹50 lakh on opening day and declining numbers since then.
✅ Ajith’s Strong Fanbase Ensured a Solid Start – The initial collections were promising.
✅ Good Cinematography & Action Sequences Praised – Azerbaijan’s scenic visuals and action choreography have received appreciation.
❌ Declining Occupancy in Theatres – Weak word-of-mouth and new competition have impacted its hold.
❌ New Releases Taking Over – With newer films hitting the screens, ‘Vidaamuyarchi’ faces a tough challenge ahead.
❌ Critics Highlight Slow Screenplay – Reviews suggest that a faster pace and stronger emotional depth could have helped.
While Ajith’s star power ensured an impressive global opening, the film’s long-term success now depends on its weekend hold. If the third weekend doesn’t see an upswing, ‘Vidaamuyarchi’ may struggle to cross the ₹150 crore mark in its theatrical run.
