Magizh Thirumeni’s action thriller Vidaamuyarchi starring Ajith Kumar and Trisha Krishnan continues its steady run at the box office.

The Tamil adaptation of the 1997 American film Breakdown, Vidaamuyarchi was released on Thursday to mixed reviews. According to Sacnilk, the film collected approximately ₹10.52 crore net in India on its third day, bringing its total domestic earnings to ₹46.77 crore.
On its opening day, the film recorded an impressive ₹26 crore but saw a sharp 60.58% dip on Friday, earning ₹10.25 crore net. However, the worldwide collection stands strong at ₹66 crore within just two days, with ₹22.10 crore contributed by overseas markets. On Saturday, the film witnessed decent occupancy rates, recording 32.92% in morning shows and 44.42% in the afternoon.
Trisha Krishnan Shares Behind-the-Scenes Moments
Actress Trisha Krishnan, who plays a pivotal role in the film, took to Instagram to share behind-the-scenes glimpses from the movie’s shoot. Captioning the post, she wrote, “Legit, one of the best rides (pun intended) I’ve had with this fantabulous team making this film. Thank you team #vidaamuyarchi.” She also joined fans for a special first-day, first-show screening in Chennai, alongside co-star Regena Cassandra and other team members.
