February 12, 2025: Chennai: Ajith Kumar’s much-anticipated action thriller Vidaamuyarchi, directed by Magizh Thirumeni, has been struggling at the Tamil Nadu box office. Despite a strong opening of ₹25.50 crore on Day 1, the film failed to maintain momentum and has seen a continuous decline in collections.
Box Office Performance
Released on February 6, Vidaamuyarchi had an opening weekend collection of ₹61 crore in Tamil Nadu. However, the film collapsed on its first Monday, earning just ₹3.50 crore. On Tuesday (Day 6), the downward trend continues, with collections estimated to drop further to around ₹3 crore. The total box office collection currently stands at ₹64.50 crore, approaching the ₹70 crore mark.

Mixed Word-of-Mouth Affecting Business
Despite Ajith Kumar’s star power, Vidaamuyarchi has failed to impress the mass audience. Mixed word-of-mouth has further impacted its performance, sealing its fate at the box office.
