Ajith Kumar’s Tamil action thriller Vidaamuyarchi is facing a steep decline in box office earnings, despite an impressive opening day collection. The film, which minted nearly ₹78 crore in Tamil alone on its debut, has struggled to maintain momentum, with earnings falling below ₹1 crore per day in recent weeks.

Even though Vidaamuyarchi remains the biggest Tamil opener of 2025, its overall performance has failed to impress. In comparison, Madha Gaja Raja, another 2025 Tamil release starring Vishal, grossed ₹47.56 crore in Tamil but has shown a more stable trend.
OTT Release on Netflix
🎬 Vidaamuyarchi is set to premiere on Netflix on March 3, 2025, across multiple languages, including Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam.

With the film’s theatrical run showing diminishing returns, the Netflix release might give Vidaamuyarchi a second wind among streaming audiences.
Ajith’s Next Project
While Ajith has not officially announced his next film, speculation suggests he may collaborate with director Karthik Subbaraj for a project tentatively titled AK64.
