October 9, 2024: Vidya Balan expressed her excitement at returning to the Bhool Bhulaiyaa franchise after 17 years during the trailer launch for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 in Jaipur.
She thanked director Anees Bazmee for the opportunity to reprise her iconic role as Manjulika, stating, “I have received a lot of love for this film in the last 17 years, and I am going to get a lot more love for the next 17 years”.
The original Bhool Bhulaiyaa, released in 2007, starred Vidya alongside Akshay Kumar and Ameesha Patel, and her character has since become a beloved part of Indian cinema. In the upcoming third installment, she will be joined by Madhuri Dixit, Kartik Aaryan, and Triptii Dimri.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is set to be released on November 1, 2024, during the Diwali festival, and will face competition from Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again at the box office.
