Vijay Varma Talks Fashion Fluidity at Lakme Fashion Week, Says ‘Men Are Embracing Their Feminine Side’

March 29, 2025: Bollywood actor Vijay Varma is once again making waves at the ongoing Lakme Fashion Week 2025 in Mumbai, where he shared his thoughts on the evolution of fashion and how it is transcending traditional gender norms. Known for his bold sartorial choices, Vijay has always been an advocate for fluidity in fashion, often blurring the lines between men’s and women’s clothing.

Vijay discussed the growing trend of genderless fashion. He explained, “Overall, fashion is evolving… I think what is interesting that has happened in the last few years is that there is no men’s and women’s fashion. It’s actually a lot of exchange that is happening between the two genders in fashion. And I’ve been championing it for years.”

Vijay further elaborated on his personal approach to fashion, admitting that he enjoys experimenting with styles typically associated with women’s wear. “I’ve been rocking stuff that probably should be found in a women’s section. I enjoy the delicateness, the colors, the textures, the jewelry. So I feel like the exchange is very interesting, and a lot of men are embracing their feminine side in their fashion,” he said.

At the event, Vijay also made a fun stop at the Magnum Dipping Bar, where he crafted his own bespoke Magnum ice cream at the Jio World Convention Centre, adding a playful touch to his fashionable outing.

On the work front, Vijay Varma has some exciting projects lined up, including Matka King and Ul Jalool Ishq. While talking about the upcoming projects, he shared his enthusiasm for Ul Jalool Ishq, describing it as “a very simple, lovely, beautiful, and rich love story.” He also revealed that he’s wrapping up Matka King, an epic tale about a man who finds a loophole in the system and uses it to his advantage.

Vijay’s drive to push boundaries and explore new challenges in his career was also evident in his remarks. “That’s been the pursuit, actually, to be able to push boundaries and check if I can do more than what I did before. It all boils down to the opportunities, and somehow, I’ve been lucky to get great opportunities and to work with directors who see more in me than I see in myself,” he concluded.
