Vikram Bhatt Opens Up About Directing Anupam Kher’s Tumko Meri Kasam

February 11, 2025: Filmmaker Vikram Bhatt is all set to bring a new movie to the silver screen, titled Tumko Meri Kasam, featuring a talented ensemble cast that includes Anupam Kher, Ishwak Singh, Adah Sharma, and Esha Deol. The film, which has been creating a buzz, is loosely inspired by the life of Dr. Ajay Murdia, the founder of Indira IVF, a nationwide chain of fertility clinics. The movie promises to take audiences through the inspiring journey of Murdia’s life while blending in dramatic elements to make it more engaging.

Speaking about his new project, Bhatt shared his excitement. He revealed that while the movie draws inspiration from Dr. Murdia’s life, it also includes fictionalized aspects to make the story more compelling. “The film is loosely inspired by his (Ajay Murdia) life. There are also elements of fiction as it’s necessary to tell the story in an engaging way. A dash of drama is needed…Audience would get to know a lot about Ajay’s life through this film,” Bhatt said.

The film will also mark a milestone for Bhatt as it serves as his debut as a lyricist. On the release of the song Berang from the film, Bhatt opened up about his experience writing the lyrics for the track, calling it a special moment. “Berang is for heartbroken people out there…Also, this song is my first-ever track as a lyricist,” he shared with enthusiasm.

The movie has already garnered attention from fans, especially since last year when Anupam Kher shared a glimpse of the mahurat shot on his social media. The veteran actor expressed his heartfelt gratitude towards filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, calling him a significant influence on his career. Kher wrote, “I am fortunate that after almost 28 years, my great director of films like Saransh, Daddy, Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahin, Janam, and Chahat, #MaheshBhatt Saab, directed me once again for the masterpiece of my 543rd film, Tumko Meri Kasam! All hail! Honoured to be directed by one of the finest directors of Indian cinema for the symbolic Mahurat shot of my 543rd film.”

The film is presented by Mahesh Bhatt, produced by Indira Entertainment, with Shwetambari Bhatt and Krishna Bhatt Sarda serving as project directors. Music for the film is composed by Prateek Walia, and the lyrics are written by Vikram Bhatt and Shweta Bothra. The music is set to be distributed by Zee.
