See who showed up for Vir Das’s party following his Emmy win

Comedian Vir Das threw a lavish celebration in Mumbai that attracted several celebrities after he won the coveted International Emmy Award for Comedy for his standup special “Vir Das: Landing.”
On Thursday night, he and his spouse Shivani Mathur threw a party in Mumbai, where they posed for photographers. Shaheen Bhatt, Soni Razdan’s daughter, was present at the celebration. Nushrratt Bharuccha looked gorgeous and dressed in black. At Vir Das’s party, Shriya Pilgaonkar was also snapped. Arriving in his ultra-cool attire, Kunal Kemmu posed for the photographers. As he accepted his Emmy for best comedy special, “Vir Das: Landing,” he was ecstatic.

He talked about how happy he was to have won at the International Emmy Awards, saying, “I am so grateful to be holding the International Emmy for Best Comedy for ‘Vir Das: Landing.'” My team and Netflix deserve this one because without them, it would not have been possible. This journey has been nothing short of extraordinary, and receiving this recognition for my fifth Netflix special feels like the result of my passion, my tenacity, and the unwavering support of all the people who have supported “Vir Das: Landing” with so much love from all over the world.

This one is dedicated to India, Indian humour, and the broader artistic community.” His fourth comedy special on Netflix, “Vir Das: Landing,” explores what it means to be truly global while searching for one’s place in the world. to find your feet and bring your country with you across the globe, whatever it may be.

A play about growing up in India, travelling the world, falling in love, massive setbacks, social media insanity, the dangers of indignation, impulsive drug use, boarding schools located in war zones, mathematical equations that are metaphorical, the state of comedy today, receiving nominations, getting wasted, and eventually just finding one’s place.
“Vir Das: Landing,” which debuted on the over-the-top platform Netflix, faced competition from the French series Le Flambeau, the Argentine series El Encargado, and the British series Derry Girls Season 3.
Vir Das: For India, his third stand-up special, was nominated for a 2021 International Emmy in the category of “Best Comedy.”
