Virat Kohli’s Brother Calls Rahul Vaidya a ‘Loser’ For Criticizing Cricketer, Says ‘Focus on Your Singing’

May 9, 2025: Vikas Kohli, the elder brother of Indian cricket star Virat Kohli, has stepped up to defend his sibling after singer Rahul Vaidya made controversial comments about Virat and his fans. Rahul, who has been active on social media, called Virat’s fans “jokers” and hinted that the cricketer had blocked him on Instagram.

In a recent social media post, Vikas Kohli hit back at Rahul, calling him a “loser” for using Virat’s name to garner attention and followers. Vikas posted on Threads, stating, “Bache itni mehnat agar apni singing pai karle to shayad apni mehnat se famous ho jaae… (Kid, if you had worked hard on your singing, maybe you would have become famous through your own efforts).” He criticized Rahul for trying to gain popularity by leveraging his brother’s name, calling him “WHAT A LOSER.”

This back-and-forth started after Rahul shared a video in which he claimed that Virat had blocked him on Instagram and expressed frustration over the cricketer’s fans, saying they were “bigger jokers” than Virat himself. The singer also took a dig at Virat’s interaction with a fan page of actress Avneet Kaur. Virat had previously clarified that his interaction with the fan page was due to an algorithm error, insisting there was no intent behind it.

Rahul further posted on his Instagram stories, joking about how the Instagram algorithm might like photos he did not engage with, warning girls not to make PR out of it. His comments didn’t sit well with many fans, and Vikas Kohli’s sharp reaction has only added fuel to the fire.

While Virat has remained silent about Rahul’s comments, Vikas’ post on social media has drawn considerable attention, with fans rallying behind the cricketer. The controversy, however, continues to stir debate, with the focus now shifting to how public figures handle such online spats.
