Mumbai, March 29: Vishnu Manchu’s much-anticipated mythological epic ‘Kannappa’ has officially been postponed, with the team citing the need for more time to complete a VFX-intensive sequence. The film was initially scheduled for release on April 25.
In an emotional statement shared with fans, Manchu emphasized the importance of delivering a visual masterpiece worthy of the story’s grandeur and the devotion of Kannappa, a legendary devotee of Lord Shiva.
“To ensure this, we need a few more weeks to perfect a key episode requiring extensive VFX work,” the statement read. “Kannappa is a tribute to Lord Shiva’s greatest devotee, and we want to present it in the most extraordinary way possible.”
Expressing gratitude for fans’ patience and support, Manchu promised that the delay will be worth the wait and assured that the new release date will be announced soon.
