The deal, inked with a leading Mumbai-based broadcasting agency, underscores the film’s pan-India appeal and its growing traction beyond the Telugu-speaking audience. With this milestone, Kannappa has officially entered the big league of devotional blockbusters commanding premium non-theatrical rates.
With the satellite rights locked, all attention is now on the OTT streaming rights, which are expected to fetch an even higher valuation given the film’s star-studded ensemble and strong audience response.
Produced by Mohan Babu, Kannappa brings together a massive cast featuring Akshay Kumar, Prabhas, Mohanlal, Mohan Babu, Kajal Aggarwal, Preity Mukhundan, and Sarathkumar, among others. The music, composed by Stephen Devassy, complements the film’s mythological grandeur and spiritual undertone.
Vishnu Manchu’s ambitious venture seems to be paying rich dividends, both in critical acclaim and commercial returns.
