Vivek Oberoi Visits Mahakumbh 2025 in Prayagraj with Family, Expresses Pride in India’s Biggest Festival

February 13, 2025: Actor Vivek Oberoi, along with his family, visited the Mahakumbh 2025 in Prayagraj on Thursday to take a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam, the sacred confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers. The actor expressed his gratitude to the Uttar Pradesh government for the excellent arrangements and said he felt immense pride seeing the world’s largest religious festival being celebrated in such a beautiful and organized manner.

Vivek Oberoi said, “We have come here to thank God… We want to thank the government of India, especially the government of Uttar Pradesh, their administration, and every officer present here for making such good preparations. It feels very proud that today, the world’s biggest festival is being celebrated in such a beautiful way in our country.”

Earlier on the same day, actor Vicky Kaushal also visited Mahakumbh 2025 ahead of the release of his upcoming film Chhaava, scheduled for February 14. Vicky expressed his joy at being able to visit the festival, sharing, “I am feeling good. I was waiting to visit Mahakumbh. I am fortunate as I got the opportunity to come here.”

According to officials from the Uttar Pradesh government, more than 1.47 million devotees took a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam on Thursday alone. Among them, around 5 lakh were Kalpavasis (pilgrims who stay for a month in the area), and nearly 9.79 lakh were regular pilgrims participating in the ongoing Mahakumbh, which continues to draw millions of devotees from all over the world.

As of February 12, the total number of devotees who have taken a dip in the holy waters of the Triveni Sangam has crossed 482.9 million, marking a significant milestone in the grand event.

Mahakumbh 2025, which started on Paush Purnima (January 13, 2025), is the world’s largest spiritual and cultural gathering, attracting millions of people from different parts of the globe. The event will continue until Mahashivratri on February 26, 2025, and is expected to remain one of the most significant cultural and religious spectacles in the world.
